Like many professions in Nigeria, show business is usually a family business. Two stars can be so different from each other, only for you to find out that they are related. We have compiled a list of five celebrities and their famous siblings who are killing it in their respective fields. 

1. Dakore and Timi Egbuson

Dakore Egbuson-Akande is a Nigerian actress, humanitarian and the founder of her own skin care brand. Timini Egbuson is a Nigerian actor. Timini was born in Bayelsa state and is the younger brother of actress Dakore Akande. He started his acting career in 2010, on M-net’s soap opera Tinsel. At the 2020 AMVCA awards timini won the Best Actor in a drama for his role in Elevator baby. One interesting fact about these two is how they are both in the same film industry and are excelling individually.

2. Olamide and DJ Enimoney

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, known professionally as Olamide (and also Olamide Baddo, BaddoSneh or simply Baddo) is a Nigerian rapper and singer. He is one of the biggest and most influential artists in Africa. He records in Yoruba and English. Olamide has two siblings, TemmyGold and Eniola Olamilekan (who is also known as DJ Enimoney).

Eniola Olamilekan Adedeji, known by his stage name DJ Enimoney, is a Nigerian disc jockey. Enimoney is the official disc jockey of YBNL Nation and younger brother of Nigerian rapper, Olamide. The duo has grown a lot over time, and it’s inspiring.

3. Linda and Laura Ikeji

Linda Ifeoma Ikeji is a Nigerian blogger, writer, entrepreneur and former model. She is known for her blog and controversial publications online. Laura Ikeji-Kanu is a Nigerian fashion blogger and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Hey! Laura, an online entertainment, fashion and lifestyle blog. She starring on the Showmax reality television series The Real Housewives of Lagos. They are both successful and seem happy.

4. Kunle and Gabriel Afolayan

Kunle Afolayan is a Nigerian actor, film producer and director. Gabriel Afolayan, also known by his musical stage name G-Fresh, is a Nigerian actor and singer. Afolayan is the son of the Nigerian entertainment icon Adeyemi Afolayan popularly known as “Ade love”. In fact, the whole Afolayan family can be referred to as the ‘Nigerian Wayans family’ due to the number of them in entertainment.

5. The Otedola sisters

Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, or simply Cuppy, is a Nigerian disc jockey and producer. She is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola.

Temiloluwa Elizabeth Otedola is a Nigerian actress and also a blogger. She is known for playing the role of Moremi Oluwa in the 2020 film Citation.

Tolani is the newest addition and is a fast-rising singer. Her song, Ba Mi Lo, in which she featured Reekado banks, has over two million views on YouTube already. These three sisters are determined to make a name for themselves outside their father’s privileged position.
